Greenhouse uses research-based treatment modalities that are shown to be beneficial for addiction and recovery.
Greenhouse provides five different levels of care for addiction treatment. Our levels of treatment vary in terms of degree of supervision and structure. A client may move throughout the continuum of care during his/her stay.
Our services include outpatient treatment programs to help patients continue their recovery journey as they transition back into work, school, and other responsibilities.
To assist in changing harmful behaviors such as substance abuse, Motivational Interviewing can help the client move from ambivalent feelings about addiction treatment to a state of genuine desire for change and readiness for treatment.
CBT is effective in treating addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Many individuals have harmful thinking patterns and thoughts that drive unhealthy behaviors. CBT encourages the client to address thought patterns and to eliminate or phase out the unhealthy ones.
REBT is similar to CBT and can help the client identify recurring automatic negative thought patterns that are harmful and replace these thinking patterns with healthier thoughts.
EMDR may be beneficial treatment for the client who has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or a personal history of sexual assault, wartime violence, natural disasters, domestic violence, or other traumatic life events. This modality is effective in treating the client’s addiction and co-occurring disorders. It can also aid symptom reduction and improve emotional stability.
Trauma-informed therapies are beneficial for the client with a history of trauma exposure such as sexual assault, domestic violence, wartime violence, and natural disasters. We offer different trauma therapies including Seeking Safety, developed by Lisa M. Najavits, PhD, which is appropriate for the client suffering from addiction and co-occurring Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Personal cell phones are prohibited on our campus, but once they receive phone privileges, patients enjoy free nationwide calling at the times provided.
Patients do participate in off-campus therapeutic recreational activities and experiential groups, as well as AA/NA meetings.
